René Meulensteen
René Meulensteen is a UEFA Pro Licence coach, former first-team coach at Manchester United, and founder of the Meulensteen Academy. With more than 30 years of global coaching experience, René has worked with elite players and teams across the English Premier League, international football, and major youth development systems.
He spent 12 years at Manchester United under Sir Alex Ferguson, coaching stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Ruud van Nistelrooy, and Robin van Persie, and developing players like Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley into internationals. He has also served as Assistant Coach to Australia’s Socceroos and coached in top leagues around the world.
His philosophy blends technical excellence, structured development, and creative expression—a legacy he now shares through his virtual academy.
